Engineering Education and Scientific Societies

Some scientific societies were invited to discuss and peculiarities of the teaching of their areas, as well as its importance in engineering and teaching. This round table will be energized by the President of the President of the Portuguese Society for Engineering Education, Manuel Gameiro.

10 years of the Bologna process implementation in the Iberian Peninsula

10 years after the Bologna process implementation in the Iberian Peninsula what changed (or not) in the engineering education practices?

The successes and disappointments of the Bologna process implementation in both countries will be discussed in an open roundtable animated by the Chairs of the Portuguese and Spanish IEEE Education Chapters, Manuel Gericota and Javier García-Zubía, and with the participation of some invited colleagues.

The VISIR+ Project

A number of members of the consortium responsible for the implementation of the VISIR+ project, supported by the ERASMUS+ program under grant 561735-EPP-1-2015-1-PT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, were invited to present their views and contributions regarding this joint European - Latin American project. This open session will include presentations from Ana Pavani (PUC-Rio, Brazil), María Isabel Pozzo (IRICE-CONICET, Argentina) and Kristian Nilsson (BTH, Sweden).
